Castelfiorentino is set in the idyllic setting of the Chianti hills, in the Tuscany region. It is situated 50 km from Florence, Siena and Pisa and lies in the heart of Elsa Valley. In 1149, the name Castelfiorentino, was given to the castle Castelvecchio, built on the Via Francigena, in Timignano, the Roman settlement.
