Cape Town Attractions and Activities

Cape Town has wonderful Blue Flag beaches and is superb for sundowners, families and groups of holidaymakers. Cape Town beaches offer vast stretches of white sand and bright sunshine. Except the beaches on the Atlantic side, the waters are idyllic for swimming, diving, surfing, sailing, boating and hordes of other activities. Volleyball games and horse-riding can also be enjoyed on the beach. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is the city’s tourist hotspot and it houses a wide range of accommodations, restaurants, markets and shops.

The ‘Wine Routes’ of Cape Town are famous. The Stellenbosch wine route, located 45 minutes from the city, is the most well-known of the Cape Town wine routes. The vineyards and countryside of the Stellenbosch region are beautiful, and wine lovers can visit a large number of cellars for wine-tasting.

Cape Town is the melting pot of cultures. The city has a long and interesting history of Dutch, French, German and British occupations, all of which reflects in the city’s lifestyle.
