Brena Baja’s mild, sunny climate does well to attract several holidaymakers to its coastline every year. It has several nice accommodations around town, but the tourist epicenter of Brena Baja is the Cancajos resort along the coastline.

Located in the east of La Palma, between the La Palma Airport and the island capital Santa Cruz, Cancajos is the hub of Brena Baja holidaymakers desiring a bit of luxury living, international comforts, good food, great nightlife options, and a pleasurable beach experience. Cancajos is a Blue Flag resort, has a nice sandy beach and is the most developed of La Palma’s resort towns.

Cancajos beach is crowded with several swanky hotels and inexpensive stays. The resort provides fantastic beach and water sport facilities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and windsurfing and also activities like paragliding, deep-sea fishing, horse-riding, and island tours. It also has numerous restaurants, pubs and beachside bars, some nice shops and few of La Palma’s best nightclubs and discos. Cancajos’s environment is perfect for the 18 to 30 holidaymakers, families with children and couples.

Brena Baja is divided into 8 ‘parishes’ or subdivisions: San Antonio, San José, La Polvacera, Las Ledas, El Socorro, La Montaña, and El Fuerte, including Los Cancajos.

Brena Baja towns, especially La Polvacera, San Antonio and San José have several inexpensive, but comfort apartments and villas to suit the budget traveler, including some quaint marketplaces and traditional Canarian restaurants as entertainment and dine-out options. For a more exuberant experience, there are always the nightclubs of Cancajos.
