Interesting places around Beruwela include the southern village of Moragalla, the headland Mosque called Kechimatal, the beautiful lighthouse, Kagoda turtle hatchery and the Pinnawela elephant sanctuary. Located close to Beruwela are also the lively beaches of Bentota. One of the finest Sri Lankan beaches, Bentota is blessed with fine sandy bays, warm weather and beautiful romantic sunsets. An amazing array of water sports can be enjoyed at Bentota, including in some of the beaches near Colombo.

Colombo holidays are based in the miles of sandy beaches like Negombo, Bentota, Kalatura, Galle and Hikkaduwa. The Mount Lavina beach is located nearest to Colombo.
