Bellapais Weather

The coastal beaches of Kyrenia enjoy many hours of hot sunshine and dry, warm winds during summers. Between May and October, Kyrenia coastal temperatures average between 28C and 30C. At times when the hot Saharan winds blow over the island, temperatures may rise to 35C and above. Kyrenia winters last between November and February. The coastal regions usually experience heavy and quick showers during this time.

Bellapais summers are slightly cooler than coastal Kyrenia, partly because it sits on elevated ground and partly due to the lush forests surrounding it. Bellapais winters are also cooler in comparison, and the north may witness overcast skies during this time.
