Anguillara Sabazia is a commune in the Province of Rome of the Latium region. Anguillara is located around 30km to the northwest of Rome. It is nestled on a cape on the coast of Lake Bracciano. Anguillara is a very popular tourist destination due to its spectacular beach and medieval centre. Tourists to Anguillara also visit the volcanic Lake Martignano around 3 km from Anguillara. The two lakes make the region in and around Anguillara attractive to tourists from all over the world. The blue waters of Lake Bracciano lash against the enchanted town of Anguillara. It is pristine in its location and has a fortress, town gates dating back to 16th century and a medieval historic centre. Anguillara is believed to the place where a miracle took place in 1976.
