Altea la Vella Holidays

Altea la Vella is a lovely little traditional village, close to the larger town of Altea, about a mile inland from the Mediterranean Sea, on the Costa Blanca in Spain. It is located at the foot of Mount Bernia, about 25 miles to the north of the town of Alicante. Altea la Vella is a quiet Spanish base, where one can enjoy the beaches and the history of this beautiful little place.

General Etiquette in Altea la Vella

• Many men use a two handed shake when greeting each other, where the left hand is placed on the right fore arm of the other person
• If you are invited for a meal at a local’s house, then remain standing until you are invited to sit down. You may be shown your way to a particular seat.
