Alleppey Getting there and around

Alleppey is around 160 km from the busy yet another popular city of Kerala, Trivandrum. For getting there, board a flight to the Cochin International Airport. Reach Cochin by taxi (costs around 400 INR), then board a bus or train from Cochin for Alleppey. Alternatively, land at Trivandrum, Chennai, Bangalore or Calicut, there and take any of the regular trains for Alleppey.

You can also reach Alleppey by train from other Indian cities such as New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai (Bombay) and Coimbatore. Bus connectivity to Alleppey is available from Cochin, Trivandrum, Calicut, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mysore.

If you choose to travel by car, then take the NH 47. Road connectivity is good. For travelling around during your Alleppey holidays, board a tourist taxi – this is more convenient option if travelling in a group.
